PHOENIX, Ariz. – In honor of the men and women who actively serve this country in law enforcement, fire prevention and the armed forces, they along with one accompanied guest are invited to be guests of The Thunderbirds (free of charge) at the upcoming Waste Management Phoenix Open, February 22nd – 28th at the TPC Scottsdale. This is the ninth consecutive year that the Thunderbirds have extended this free invitation.

All law enforcement, firefighters and military personnel and one accompanied guest will be admitted free of charge every day at the 2010 Waste Management Phoenix Open. Standard tournament spectator policies will be in enforced, including no firearms allowed.

“The Thunderbirds and Waste Management feel a profound sense of gratitude for the efforts and sacrifices of those who serve this great country,” said 2010 Waste Management Phoenix Open Tournament Chairman David Rauch.  “This is just one way of saying ‘thank you’ for all they do.”

At the 2009 FBR Open, more than 2,500 service personnel and family members took advantage of this offer, and since the program’s inception in 2002, an average of 2,500 people per year have benefited from this opportunity.
